Dean Message – Faculty of Nursing, Yarmouk University

Dear students and visitors

Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing at Yarmouk University.

It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Nursing at Yarmouk University, and to congratulate you on joining this distinguished academic institution, which takes pride in its scientific and humanitarian mission and its leading role in preparing qualified nursing professionals capable of serving the community locally and regionally.

Guided by the Royal directives affirming that “investing in people is the true and lasting investment,” and under the continuous care and support for higher education in our beloved country, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, and supported and followed up by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, our educational institutions continue their role in building the Jordanian individual who is capable of facing challenges and shaping the future.

We proudly recall the words of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein, who emphasized that “nursing is a noble humanitarian profession based on science, commitment, and compassion,” and that “nursing is a fundamental pillar of any successful healthcare system.” This is an approach we cherish and from which we draw the values of professionalism, responsibility, and service to humanity.

Today, we live in an era witnessing rapid development in health sciences and digital technology, including applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare and nursing education. In line with Yarmouk University’s vision of excellence and innovation, the Faculty of Nursing is keen to keep pace with these transformations by updating study plans, enhancing critical thinking skills, and supporting the conscious and responsible use of modern technologies, in a way that serves the quality of healthcare without compromising the human essence of the profession.

At the Faculty of Nursing at Yarmouk University, we believe that excellence is not achieved through scientific knowledge alone, but also through professional ethics, discipline, mutual respect, and adherence to the values of compassion and humanity. We strive to provide a supportive and motivating educational environment that combines solid academic education, practical training, and the development of personal and professional skills.

The Faculty also gives special attention to community service and volunteer work, based on our belief that nursing students are key partners in promoting health awareness, supporting the most vulnerable groups, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable health development.

I would also like to extend a special welcome to our international students at Yarmouk University. We are proud to have you among us and consider you an integral part of the Faculty of Nursing family. The Faculty is committed to providing an educational environment that respects cultural diversity and promotes academic and social integration, ensuring a rich and safe educational experience for all students.

I invite you to make the most of this important stage in your university life, to work hard in acquiring knowledge, to actively participate in academic and student activities, and to build relationships based on cooperation and respect. I also assure you that the doors of the Faculty, its administration, and its teaching staff at Yarmouk University will always remain open to support and assist you.
