Clinical Nursing Department

The Clinical Nursing Department is one of the two departments of the Nursing Program at Yarmouk University. It works in harmony to achieve the Faculty’s vision of leadership and excellence in nursing education and to prepare qualified nurses capable of meeting the needs of the local, regional, and international labor market.

The Clinical Nursing Department was established at Yarmouk University in 2024 by a decision of the University Council of Deans. The department is responsible for teaching the theoretical and clinical courses during the third and fourth years of the Bachelor of Nursing program. These courses include: Communication and Health Education, Maternal Health Nursing (Theory), Maternal Health Nursing (Clinical), Child Health Nursing (Theory), Child Health Nursing (Clinical), Clinical Nutrition, Mental Health Nursing (Theory), Mental Health Nursing (Clinical), Community Health Nursing (Theory), Community Health Nursing (Clinical), Occupational Health and Safety, Nursing Laws and Ethics, Scientific Research Methods, Critical Care Nursing (Theory), Critical Care Nursing (Clinical), Nursing Administration, and Intensive Clinical Training.

The Clinical Nursing Department consists of a distinguished group of faculty members with diverse nursing specializations and various academic ranks.

To develop the educational and training environment to prepare competent qualified nurses capable of providing high-quality nursing care in accordance with the latest local, regional, and international standards.

  • Enhancing the concept of evidence-based practice by utilizing the results of scientific research.
